How to set the external monitor which shows X-Sign Player as portrait, and the computer as landscape?


Environmental setting & User Scenario
  • A computer is connected to an external monitor.  
  • The contents of X-Sign windows player display on external monitor as portrait orientation. And the users want to do other things, such as POS, on computer as landscape orientation. 
Constraints
  • The orientation setting in X-Sign Player “only” and “must” works on main display. 
  • Hence, if you show and set X-Sign Player as portrait on second display, both main display and second display will turn to portrait mode.
  • On the other hand, if you show and set X-Sign Player on main display. Only main display turn into portrait mode, and second display is still in landscape mode.

How-to (1)
  • Go to windows display setting, choose external monitor (no.2), and set it as main display


How-to (2)
  • Open X-Sign Player, go to settings and switch the default screen to Display2.


How-to (3)
  • Then, select orientation and switch to portrait mode.
  • Now, you can successfully show your content of X-Sign Player on external monitor as portrait, and do other thing on you computer as landscape.
